Managing Partner & Aviation Logistics Expert
Mr. Schaaf is the managing director and founder of Realog International Holding GmbH, Realog Consulting GmbH, and Realog Systems GmbH. Mr. Schaaf specializes in air freight supply chain management, air cargo analytics, on-airport cargo, logistics facility development processes, operations, design, tender management, installation and site supervision with a particular expertise in automation and material handling systems. Mr. Schaaf has many years of experience in project management of large cargo terminal developments. Prior to working with Realog, Mr. Schaaf was a senior vice president in aviation and supply chain management with D.Logistics and senior project manager in air cargo finance and development at Lufthansa Cargo AG. Mr. Schaaf holds an MBA (Logistics) from the University of Mannheim. Mr. Schaaf has over 30 years of experience in the air cargo industry. Mr. Schaaf holds several patents in air cargo design and automation.

Barry Zigner is an expert in air cargo IT systems, process optimization, and digital solutions for supply chain visibility and collaboration. With decades of experience in developing advanced logistics software, he specializes in designing intelligent platforms that improve operational planning, steering, and real-time control across the airfreight supply chain.
Before forming Realog Systems, Barry founded Hermes Logistics Technologies (HLT) and served as its CEO, overseeing the development, marketing, and global implementation of industry-leading Air Cargo Handling ERP solutions. Under his leadership, HLT grew from a start-up to a multi-million-revenue organization with a product recognized as one of the best in class for cargo terminals.
Barry continues to advise major aviation organizations on digital transformation, operational efficiency, and the future of air cargo IT. He is a strong advocate for intelligent algorithms and AI-driven systems to significantly enhance productivity, throughput, and handling performance across airports and logistics hubs.

Makram Karim is also member of leading professional Organisation including the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
